Custom Linen Solutions (CLS), an Orlando-based provider of textiles and uniforms to healthcare centers, announced that they have taken on a new product line to help their ambulatory surgical center (ASC) customers.

FISCAL REFORMS
I) EXCISE DUTY
• Excise duty on all items of textile machinery at 8%, there should be no exemption
• Excise duty on all parts, components and accessories of the textile machinery should be less than complete machinery i.e. at the level of 4%.
II) CUSTOMS DUTY :
• Floor level of customs duty on capital goods should be at 7.5%.
• The rate of duty on raw-materials, parts, components & accessories should be less than that on complete machinery, in general, at least to 5%.
• Reduce import duty on dedicated parts, components and accessories of shuttleless looms & other hi-tech machines which are not made in India so far, from 5% to zero duty.
III) POLICY MATTERS :
• Uniform treatment to the domestic suppliers of machinery to EPCG licence holders and 100% EOU as both are Deemed Export.
• Imported second-hand textile machinery should not be given subsidy under the Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme and its derivatives namely 20% CLCS and 15% CLCS Scheme, in the name of modernisation
• Ban on import of second-hand shuttleless looms with weft insertion rate less than 750 mtrs. per minute.
• Tax break for a period 5 years for any unit manufacturing hi-tech item of textile machinery with or without foreign collaboration.

Advansa has made an announcement regarding the decline in the Carbon dioxide footprint in its ECO2Technology for ThermoCool fibres which was confirmed by a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). The analysis was conducted by TNO which is an independent organization for applied scientific research based in Netherlands.
As per Advansa, the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) confirmed an average decline of 80 percent in the release of global warming gases as well as drop in the non-renewable energy used in the ECO2Technology that is being applied for its ThermoCool commodities.
The LCA is based on system expansion methodology and offers a consistent measurement of several criteria associated with the production of global warming gases as well as the use of non-renewable energy.
According to Advansa, the LCA also substantiates that the technology applied for producing ECO2 products indicates use of less Carbon dioxide footprint with exceptional moisture managing capacity and high comfort level.
The ThermoCool staple fibres are manufactured by applying modern recycling technology under which polymer from post consumer PET is changed by means of a high-tech production process into first-rate polyester fibre.

The newly configured bar arrangement on the JL 40/1 F Jacquardtronic machine enables stitch-forming lappings to be worked using the existing jacquard bar. In combination with the split yarn threading-in arrangement, ground structures having functional characteristics can be produced. Conventional ground structures typical of the narrow fabrics used in lace lingerie, can also be produced. Fine lace fabrics with functional, light-control characteristics can be produced by using the possibility of combining the potential offered by stitch formation with the split threading-in arrangement of the jacquard bars. The fine machine gauge of 28 needles per inch gives both the functional products and the lace fabrics, an elegant, ethereal, transparent appearance.
