Stating that women have an important role to play in the country’s development, those participating in the Helping Hand Relief and Development (HHRD) programme laid emphasis on ensuring participation of women in the country’s handicraft industry.
Rural women from across the country participated in the programme and displayed their handicrafts, which greatly interested the people.
HHRD Country Director Fazal Ur Rehman said that in this modern age, it is not possible for any country to attain success and long term development without skill enhancement and technical training.
He added that promotion of technical and vocational skills is vital for sustainable growth of any country, and equally important is to impart skills to people and to motivate them to work and strive for excellence, to set an example for generations to come.
Mr. Rehman said that the programme is aimed at providing skill development training and enhancing the skills of rural women.
